A: The shaft is 100% carbon fiber, and fiberglass which makes it stiff, light, and very strong.

The blades are nylon/carbon fibers fiberglass which keeps the weight down and is more durable than all-carbon, it’s a little bit heavier than all-carbon blades but cheaper and much more durable yet still very light.

I want to install paddle grips, How can I break my aqua-bound kayak paddle for that?

A: My grips went on a little hard but I was able to get my NRS grips on.

Is the shaft a smooth finish or ribbed?

A: A little ribbed – which is not necessarily uncomfortable. Just a little texture. So don’t worry you’ll love it.
